Registration to vote is widely canvassed and easy, including when getting a drivers licence, but proof of residency and citizenship is required. Registrations are re-verified before the first ballot is sent. Ballots are sent to the registered address of every voter. Instructions are clear with regard to the issues and the voting procedure including large-lettered deadlines. Instructions and ballots are available in 10 languages. For additional assistance, there are QR scans, website reference and Registrar office phones. You can mail your ballot (and track delivery), put it in a secure drop-off box or vote in person. For drop boxes, within the ten-ish mile diameter of the cities of Carlsbad, Oceanside, and Vista, there are 12 boxes, in places like grocery stores, pharmacies, libraries. There are over 60 voting centers throughout the county, and anybody can vote at any of them - no precinct limitations.
