Of course I'm "lying". You still can't distinguish real life from ridicule? It's there alright, and I saw it, and I'll see it again next week when I drive back to Binghamton. Look it up. My ridicule was directed at those who get their panties in a roll when they see a Confederate flag, rainbow flag, a cross, two of the same sex, etc.Vrede too wrote:So, you think Seth Miller is not only lying about being offended but also about having seen it at all? I-81 through Virginia is one of the prettiest interstates in the country. Turns into a pretty rough ride as you get further north, though.
I was past the I-64/81 exit twice in July. No large battle flag either time. I guess I would have missed my chance to be offended except there were others proudly displayed on the sides of single-wides.

The largest portion of I-81 in Virginia is billboard-free; it is a beautiful drive.O Really wrote:I-81 through Virginia is one of the prettiest interstates in the country. Turns into a pretty rough ride as you get further north, though.

I tried to find the area in question on Google Earth. The location is in the Fairfield, Va. area just off a road named Billboard Hill Road. The Earth shot was dated 2013; the flag wasn't erected until early 2015, so all you can see is the truck-stop billboard. If you didn't see the battle flag in July, the possibility exists that there was a cease fire in effect at the time of your travels.

Did Lee get killed in battle?
Oh, I guess they mean the guys who wore rags if they could take any off dead people and who died under Lee's command. Meanwhile, Lee survived and instead of being hanged for treason as he should, was treated with courtesy and respect, "retired" to be a college president and died relatively peaceably in his bed.

Could be. Or watching the Garmin. Or listening to "Mrs. O Really." But there are several places along interstates that have really really big flags - US flags. You can see them from a quarter mile or more away, depending on topography. It would be hard to miss the battle flag of Virginia in that location if it had been flying when we went by. But to address Seth's original point, offense notwithstanding, nobody has demanded any redneck remove his flag from his own property. So this flag, being on private property (even if it had been T/A's) wouldn't be subject to complaint. Well, if it had been T/A's you could complain to them and buy your gas from Flying J, but if it's not a business there is no avenue of complaint nor any grounds for complaint even if offended.Vrede too wrote:Talking on your cell phone?O Really wrote:... Seth has a better grip on the difference in what the state does and what an individual does than he pretends. I'm pretty sure he understands why Kim Davis is in jail. He does love to try to yank chains, though.
