Fascism Is here

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Are you suggesting Washington is still crime ridden city and not an improved environment?

Is it really solving crime when average people are too skeered to go out and risk running afoul of the Jackboots?

Sounds like fascist state.

I would think more folks are concerned with crime than law enforcement.

Question: where is the highest violent crime rate in DC?
Answer: that would be generally Southeast.
Q: is most of the patrolling in Southeast?
A: no, or at least none has been reported
Q: where is most of the patrolling?
A: all around the public touristy areas and parks
Q: so violent crime in Southeast is reduced by patrolling in Northwest?
A: obviously, because Trump says so.

Pfft, the point is to make DC safe for White tourists, pols, agency leaders, staff and workers, not for Southeast residents.

:o

The questions that even cons should want answered:
What is the cost?
Is this sustainable?
Are there any long term benefits to the National Guard invasion?
What would be the effect on crime of investing the same amount in standard policing, mental health care and other community development resources? Is this more efficient than a National Guard invasion?
What was the effect on policing when Dementia Don and the RepuQs slashed DC's budget?

If cons cannot answer these questions they should probably refrain from opining on the crime rate in DC. Or, have cons now replaced cost-benefit analysis with Trump-benefit analysis?

Cleverly, O Really fails to mention most of the crime in the Southeast has the same characteristic. It comes from cities like ATL, NOLA, Jacson, MS, Memphis; etc;. All run democrat run cities.

Some new reviews beat the hall monitor:
Sorry but the Stone Crabs did not travel well at all. Service was indifferent and unapologetic. Very much a clip joint leveraging a once proud name in Miami Beach. Avoid like the plague.
Joe's caters to racists, fascists and happily coordinated to allow our well documented rapist President to dine at their establishment. I wouldn't feel safe dining here
:---P
Horrible place. No reason to ever eat in this nasty place. Very trashy no real class.
Our parents and grandparents fought nazis, my how things have changed. Sucks to be a fascist but they must be to gladly serve the Pedo Fuhrer.
Dined here recently and compared to nearby places like Oceanaire, it's meh. It's definitely not worth risking the chance that the architects of the downfall of America may end up sitting nearby. Just like racist, homophobic, fascist dictator wannabes have the right to go out to eat, dining establishments have the right to refuse service - they didn't. Fortunately, there aren't enough kowtowing conservatives in the DC area to keep this place afloat for long.
:o
The steak tasted like a boot stepping on my throat that I couldn't resist licking. Smelled of fouled diapers and sweat trapped under fat rolls
They happily welcome christo-fascist convicted felons. The place reeks of leaking Depends, stale bronzer and horrible cologne. The odds you will be groped by the clientele are very high. There are plenty of great restaurants in DC. This isn't one of them. Take your business anywhere else. I've heard good things about the salami at Subway.
I prefer my seafood fresh, not the stale, orange, mushy, fascistic gruel these toadies offer. This place was crawling with giant rat-like freaks on September 9. Ew.
High prices for crab that tasted like it had sat around a warming tray all night. Staff seemed sad, like they were just waiting to be set free. Way overpriced. Also a weird smell, so much better around.
The staff is generally lovely. Food is typical of a chain. MAGA friendly. Favorite haunt of those on the Epstein list. Serves criminals, liars, bigots, and warmongers.
Seafood should be served without a side of fascism, but if you are a dictator looking to host a crowd of people who support your tastes in racism, misogyny, and homophobia, this is your go-to. The "something smells fishy" piZZa feeds a crowd of folks who can't wait to flatter you. Bottom-feeding fish are especially delicious and a side of world-dominating Tartar-inspired sauce gives just the right blend of oiliness and hints of oligarchy. The unusual orange color is off-putting, but a crop dusting by your party's host will cover (covfefe) any lingering aroma of totalitarianism. If you are a person who is any shade darker than whitefish, remember to bring your papers and a change of underwear.

There are 4 1/2 more pages of 9/10 and even a handful of 9/9 posted one star anti-Nazi reviews. A few are worded such that they may escape the inevitable censor.

Also, after the hall monitor noticed:
184 reviews for Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab that are not currently recommended
Note: The reviews below are not factored into the business's overall star rating.

When I was in high school we took our own boat into the pass and free dove the rocks and got our own. Came back with 100 claws and had a party.

"numbnuts" :laughing-rolling: SoupySales does nothing "Cleverly".

Also, SoupySales FAILS the middle school principle of correlation vs causation.

"All run democrat run cities" does NOT mean that Dem leadership causes or tolerates crime. All run GQP run ( :P ) cities have high crime rates, too. It's a nonpartisan fact of American urban life :( , duh.

In fact, the causation works exactly the opposite of SoupySales' Faux Noise-parroted delusion. The vast majority of urban voters are law-abiding and care about crime. Still, they usually vote Dem because they know the Dems are more likely to implement proven comprehensive solutions rather than relying on the FAILED, racist, fascist, prison-industrial complex model that MAGA favors.

Supes, or any body interested in googling "Safest cities in US". Number 1, to no one's surprise except this who thinks Dem run cities are crime have a, is San Jose, CA. Number 2 might surprise some. It's the city Trump has painted as one of the worst in the world and sent troops in to invade first. Yep - that would be Los Angeles CA. Of course, it's less safe now after the invasion.

A lot of these people have never stepped foot in a large city. They're terrified of them and base their impressions on what television and social media tells them versus first hand experiences. I was in DC back in March. I felt zero fear. I think it was Mark Wayne Mullen that said he doesn't even buckle up his seatbelt out of fear of carjacking. Does he ask his wife to check under for monsters before he goes to bed at night too?

Many of us here have likely traveled quite extensively and spent time in some of the cities these chucklefucks think are warzones and found them very safe. Are these people really this cowardly and frightened? They're telling on themselves without realizing it.

Repugs have always taught their people to be afraid. Afraid of Black people, afraid of any furriners, afraid of druggies and heathens. Make 'em afraid of a make believe threat, then solve the threat. Fools follow on.

As a sub-adult teen I went into DC a lot, even at night sometimes for concerts, alone or with a girlfriend. I never had hassles. The murder rate was much higher than what it is now.

Blue city, red state:

Trump says National Guard troops heading to Memphis to fight crime

I guess neoplacebo's Gov. Bill Lee, a Republican ally of Trump, is not able to efficiently allocate the resources at his disposal. What a FAILURE. Go figure.
