Mass Shootings

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

At least 2 children killed and 17 people injured in shooting at Minneapolis Catholic school Mass

Children ages 6 to 14 are being treated for injuries at a Minneapolis-area health care system, with at least two in critical condition.
At least fourteen of those injured are children.

:o Why?

We may never know. The shooter is dead, self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Why is there never talk about the Well Regulated part of the Second Amendment as opposed to the Not be Infringed part?
Yeah, I've often wondered about that and even brought it up in an LNF thread. Hell, the first three words are "A well regulated". I've also pointed out that at the time those words were written, the only "arms" that existed were single shot muzzle or breech loaded long guns and pistols and cannon. The gun nuts never could seem to grasp those concepts.

Side note: this morning I read that the TN state Supreme Court has ruled a recent TN law restricting the carrying of rifles and shotguns and concealed firearms without a permit in public places like parks and playgrounds is unconstitutional. Bottom line......TN legislature passes a law allowing concealed carry without a permit and allowing 18-20 year olds to carry concealed weapons, but restricting them from parks and playgrounds was just too restrictive.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms in order to slaughter children at playgrounds (not to mention at pre-class Mass), shall not be infringed.

Tulsi Gabbard accuses Jen Psaki of 'hatred of God' after Minneapolis school shooting remarks

... Psaki said: "Prayer is not freaking enough. Prayers does not end school shootings. Prayers do not make parents feel safe sending their kids to school. Prayer does not bring these kids back. Enough with the thoughts and prayers." Her post garnered over 15 million views on X.
 Hero.
Gabbard responded: "So why is it that people like Jen Psaki and others have such a spontaneous visceral negative reaction to those who are praying to God for refuge, strength, and for the wellbeing of the victims of this heinous attack? Because they do not believe in God or His love."

"Their response is rooted in their hatred of God," Gabbard added. "They want to be God, so they view Him as their competitor. They are agents of darkness and hatred, and the light of God’s love is a threat to their dark ambitions."
:wtf: True "hatred of God" is exploiting her/him by distorting the words of others and advancing wild conspiracy theories.
She tied her criticism to more policy causes for the Democrat Party, calling transgender rights "insanity and darkness"
 Resort once again to whining about transgender is ironic when it's a distraction from her own ammosexuality.
and citing Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous line: "Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that."
More irony, given that MAGA = White supremacy. Plus, thoughts and prayers have not and cannot drive gun violence down, only reasonable gun control can do that.
Republicans quickly rallied behind Gabbard.
MAGA = Lockstep whining
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Psaki’s dismissal of prayer was "utterly disrespectful" and urged her to pray for the grieving families instead.
Psaki never said that she wouldn't, dummy. She's just making the point that it isn't sufficient. Action is needed, too, ammosexual.
Vice President JD Vance added on X: "Why would Jen Psaki attack people for praying when those children were literally praying as they were murdered?" ...
You just made Psaki's point, moron. Prayer is NOT enough. This is the GQP's leading prospect for 2028???!!!
