If we are indeed in a simulation, then more than likely we are all just bits of code, nothing like the Matrix. And if that is the case, then 'breaking out' would not lead to freedom, but rather the deletion of our code - and us.

Except they're running the simulation on Windows 10 and it's decided to do updates in the middle of all this so the computer is unresponsive. Don't worry though, we'll have a forced reboot right after Trump becomes president!

When it comes back online they'll delete the last few days of memory, and have us remember that Hillary always won.

It's a Version 1.0 simulation anyway. Just look at all the continuity errors.

Water is clear and colorless in small quantities. So when your towel gets wet, why does it get darker? Why does bread left out get harder, while crackers get softer? And it's not unusual to see baby geese and baby ducks. But we're surrounded by pigeons. Why do you NEVER see baby pigeons?

Elvis an honorary DEA agent, while being a drug user. Elvis being dead, but random memories of people sighting him still alive. Memories that his movies were enormously popular. But if you remember one (the simulation making it up on the spot) or watch one (the simulation making up the entire experience on the spot) it's too lame to have been popular.

If you're religious, the Age of Miracles was the creator trying to slap some quick fixes on reality before his assignment was due.
