It’s amazing to me that you can be aware of some degree of cheating that that has followed every sports at all levels since the beginning of sports and still belittle me for pointing out blatant obvious examples of referee interference, both in favor of Alabama and against Auburn .
If I’m wrong, show me, but this comment is belittling and offensive.

I can't speak for O Really, but I was definitely teasing, though "belittling and offensive" are harsher adjectives than I intended or would choose. Whether true or not ref bias is a frequent topic of yours, and we have acknowledged when your examples are particularly egregious. I've also pointed out that many others think there's a pro-SEC bias, which would be potentially relevant to this game.billy.pilgrim wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 10:28 amSo funny.

O Really calls it "blowing smoke" and that's certainly true for me - mocking myself not being able to accept that UNC got beat. In reality, I did not perceive any ref bias, "the 'Heels choked" as O Really says, and it was a juicy opportunity among our gang for a joke "because it was Bammer" as O Really also says.
O Really baits me by defending racist team names and belittling soccer, teased me for football picks back when I was gambling, and stills brings up my poor MM picks from years ago. I bait O Really with transgender articles, tease him for predicting POTUS Hillary and we all tease him for being a lawyer.
My teasing post was meant as a sign of acceptance and affection, BRD trash talk so to speak, not to be taken as malice. I'm sorry that you were offended.
Just to be clear - Bama does get treated like royalty, WDE sometimes gets screwed, the SEC also gets treated like royalty, AND last night,
I'll save comment on GoCubsGo's belittling and offensive post for the next certain streak of Cubs' losses

I know, but my response to O Really's post was more specifically about you than his was. I figured that I should be accountable rather than allow him to take the heat solo.billy.pilgrim wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2024 4:25 pmMy comment wasn’t intended for you.

Semi-homeys! 67-58, truly a Cinderella now.
The 3 NC State women also beat 2 Stanford 77-67 to advance to the Elite 8.

Former semi-homeys! Nope, 68-80

UPSET! 54-51
10:09 PM TBS/truTV
2 Tennessee (26-8, -2.5) > 3 Creighton (25-9)
Semi-semi-homeys! The only favorite I'm rooting for, ut-oh.
82-75, nice.

Sorry, I didn't think that I needed to post the "O Really Disclaimer" every week.
Plus, my tallies are not vs the spread. I just post them as a general predictor. I'll try to account for an old man's memory and a lawyer's attitude in the future, and I'll add it to this week's WISHES

Tight until the last couple of minutes, 69-78
5:30 PM ESPN
1 USC (28-5, -3.5) > 5 Baylor (26-7) NoRWTXgodNo
Phew 74-70
8:00 PM ESPN
7 Duke (22-11) > 3 UConn (31-5, -8.5 )
13-23 at the half
They picked it up a bit, 45-53 final. Pooor Doook
Go basketball:
3:30 PM ABC

Rout 89-68, Clark led everyone with 29 points and 15 assists, her most assisits ever in a MM game. Go Iowa > LSU on Mon, a replay of the Final last year that Jill Biden turned into a minor flap by inviting both teams to the WH after the Blacker LSU won.
O Really is right again!

Ah, beginning the 19th minute:
Ugh... The Huskies ran off 30 straight points, an onslaught not seen this late in the NCAA tournament recently ...
"30-0 is crazy," said Tristen Newton, UConn's All-American point guard.
Added Hurley: "It was a special level of basketball that we were playing."
How was the bloomin' foray?
