These games are gonna be a clusterfuck.

Report: NHL, players officially agree to withdraw from Beijing Olympics
COVID is sufficient reason and I'm fine with that, but I wonder if some nations and/or athletes will be glad to have a reason to join the US "diplomatic boycott" over China's mistreatment of the Uyghur people.

Yep.
 , but there was also the 2022 BCS Championship game, and the naming of the DC football team.
Only good part is curling day one
What Olympics?
Bad time zone difference. Unknown venues. No spectators. Only thing to be happy about is Russia will not invade until after the Olympics.
I also share that optimistic view.

Duh.

You wish, but no one else here does.

Anyhow, you're lucky that GoCubsGo is a mod. Someone with, say, your rotten integrity would really use his powers to screw with an asshole like you.
You stayed up until 6:01 am just to post that stupid whine? Wow.

... Representative Jim McGovern, the Democrat who leads the committee, blasted the IOC and corporate sponsors.

"If given a choice, I believe no athlete would want to compete in a country committing genocide and crimes against humanity. But that is what they are forced to do because of the feckless IOC and its corporate sponsors," he said.

Every beast sport? Cats don't like the cold and groundhogs are hibernating. So, my money is on the ducks if we can keep Useless from stomping them.

Someone unmentionable is sadly deluded. I'm not the one stomping ducks. Nor lizards or cats or any other living animal. Well, maybe some snails, but only if they are up to no good. Perhaps the unmentionable one is a snail? And of course there's always Sluggo, but a heap of rock salt would handle that one nicely.

I don't know much about Jim McGovern, but I don't think he's ever been a possible Olympian, and he may or may not have ever met any. Athletes of that type and calibre go wherever the gold medals are being given out.

Shaun White, 35, pretty old for a shredder. Then again, Kaillie Humphries, bobsledder, is 36.
