I never wore any, I don't think.
We should get you one for Christmas.

I appreciate the offer, but I'm a retired atheist.

Awesome. :happy-cheerleaderkid:

She pinned him, no ring! :headscratch:
A-ha.
Olympian Proposes To Boyfriend With Something Way Cooler Than A Ring After Race

French Olympian Alice Finot proposed to her boyfriend after breaking the European record during the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase final in Paris.

Moments after finishing, Finot dropped to one knee and asked her longtime boyfriend, Spanish triathlete Bruno Martinez Bargiela, to marry her.

Her choice of jewelry to seal the deal was something a little different, and a lot special: an Olympic pin. She fixed it on his shirt after he said yes.

It was the pin she’d raced with, engraved with the phrase “Love is in Paris.”...

The internet loves Raygun:

:wtf:

Raygun becomes viral sensation during breaking performance at 2024 Paris Olympics: Social media reacts

There has not been an Olympic performance this dominant since Usain Bolt’s 100m sprint at Beijing in 2008. Honestly, the moment Raygun broke out her Kangaroo move this competition was over! Give her the #breakdancing gold 🥇

Every Olympic event should include one average person competing, for reference.

It's actually a good idea to have a reference person in each event. And not just somebody hauled out of the crowd, but a person who, in the day to day non-olympic world might be seen as pretty good. You can find a lot of decent divers at your local country club, or lap swimmers. Let'em have a go against whoever finished last against Ledecky. Everybody has neighbors that run everyday. Give somebody a chance against the slowest Ethiopian.

Gymnast Ana Barbosu Speaks Out After Jordan Chiles' Score Change

billy.pilgrim hated the maxim I shared with him: If you're not good enough to beat the refs, you're not good enough.

I don't blame anybody, but I still felt bad for Barbosu. TV showed her crying while Chiles and Biles celebrated.

First one - Who are the guys in black and white at 0:26? Did you see the behind the back dribble immediately following that?

Results:
Spoiler:

Women's Marathon, Olympic Record!
Sifan HASSAN!
Only woman to win 3 track and field medals, Bronze in both 5000m and 10,000m. She's been winning at multiple distances for years:

Past Olympians I think. There were a bunch there, I know Stephen Marbury was there. The guy in all white might've been Scottie Pippen.

Ah, makes sense. I don't watch enough basketball to ID everyone.

Pretty cool that the women are mostly doing the big anchor legs today - marathon earlier, basketball in 10 minutes (Bronze earlier), Volleyball - Women's Gold Medal Match, results:
Spoiler:

Italy stomped us, 3-0
