Which brings us back to the story you posted.

When we were younger men and saw stories like this, the first thought in our minds was "where were these teachers when we were in school?" or "why can't these idiots keep their mouths shut?". There were some teachers who were hot as hell, some rather demure, and some were horny old cougars looking for young stuff. Mostly the young men/boys were chastised by public opinion for running their mouths when they had a good thing going.

Now that we're older and wiser, we see the illegality in these trysts; especially when the roles are reversed. Let a male teacher seduce or be seduced by a young star-struck horny female, or run off with her as in some of the stories of late, then society labels him a pervert or lecher and is ready to skin him alive and feed him to the dogs with no mercy. People are a strange bunch!

I think the ages "of consent" are totally arbitrary (obviously, since they differ from place to place), and should be different for males and females. Every case has its own unique characteristics, but much if not most of the time, the adult male is operating from a position of power or authority over the young female, and the female ends up feeling (and being) abused.
