I'm back. I feel truly sorry for those people whose lives have been disrupted by this storm. They seem to be a tough breed though, they'll pull through.

I helped rescue an untold number of folks, helped set up shelters, and handed out meals and water. I got snake bit (non-poisonous), attacked by a scared to death raccoon I rescued out of a quickly immersing sapling, and lastly, fought a spirited battle with a battalion of fire ants seeking higher ground in our boat! Them rascals are mean!

I feel good. I'm going back east; too wet here; too hot, dry, and flammable further west.
