America's Got Talent (season 16)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/America%2 ... ason_16%29

July 20 was the 8th and final night of auditions. I'm not entirely sure what this means:
Following the previous season, Cowell decided to eliminate the Judges Cuts round from the program, and opt for adapting the format used on Britain's Got Talent – after all auditions were completed, the judges would confer together at another site to debate on who amongst the participants they had voted for would proceed to the live rounds, alongside those who received a Golden Buzzer. Filming would be conducted of some of these debates, but most would be off-camera, with the footage put in as the remaining half of the final audition episode to be broadcast for the season.
There were some brief and out of context clips. Sounds like some acts will just dis appear without mention. I'm not sure when the next show will be, July 27?

Here are the July 20 acts I liked in the order they appeared, there were many more that the audience and/or judges liked. Rerun Sat night, maybe Sun, too.

Acts with the 6th, 7th and 8th most votes are placed on the bubble. Beyond Belief Dance Company is one of them. This may be bad news in the long run, but it's surprisingly good news in the short run. One of these acts will be saved by the audience, one by the judges. So, 2 in 3 chances of advancing. The rest of the acts only have a 5 in 9 chance of advancing. Cool.

Edit: Dustin Tavella advances to the semis! 1 down, 1 to go.

Edit: Beyond Belief Dance Company was not saved by the audience. Now it's the judges' save, 1 in 2 chance. The other act is a solo singer, Madilyn Bailey. I won't say who is more talented, but I'll bet the producers think that dancing TX kids coached by a drag queen make for better ratings.

Final edit: The judges split! Women for Beyond Belief, men for the hot woman singer. Go figure. So, it went back to the audience and Madilyn advances :( . Oh well, I really liked her audition, not so much last night's performance. We'll see.

Howie was funny when he had hair. I once saw him imitate a human condom by putting a large condom over his head and blowing it up with his breath while his head was inside. I don't know if this means hair is conducive to comedy or if bald shit is never funny. Don Rickles was bald and Jonathan Winters was nearly bald but they were both funny and could probably do a human condom deal bald. I'm working on my own AGT act called "Animal Crackers" about a bunch of racist white trash animals who come to a bad end just in the nick of time.
