In Memoriam

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Sacheen Littlefeather, Native American activist, dies. I remember when Marlon Brando sent her to the Academy Awards to refuse to accept his Oscar for The Godfather. Brando had also been an advocate for Native Americans at that time.

RIP.

Nicki Aycox, ‘Supernatural’ actress, has died at age 47

Leukemia :( . I remember her from a number of shows, especially her recurring role on Cold Case as Christina Rush (Lily's wayward sister). I had a crush on her . . . because of her charitable nature ;) :

I hadn't thought of it, but probably true. Why - because I've mentioned people like Olivia Newton-John, Wilson sisters, Debbie Harry, etc?

Yep, though I don't think the Wilson sisters made films. Seems there were others, but I can't recall names at the moment. Maybe:
Susan Sarandon - The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Barbra Streisand
Madonna
Little Shop of Horrors
???

You may have me confused with somebody else or elses. Sarandon sure, but I don't think I've expressed much for Streisand or Madonna, talented though they may be.

Could be. There's Meatloaf - The Rocky Horror Picture Show and many others.

But, everyone besides Mr.B liked him.

Sad indeed.
How did these people get so old? They're supposed to be timeless.

Probably less the mirror and more of the need to get my eyes checked (because they haven't changed either).

She's been clearly irreplaceable since her retirement, and her contribution to journalism is immeasurable. She had a good life.

I remember an Auburn professor in the 60s who embarrassed himself on national TV trying to defend the Southern accent by telling the interviewer that the rest of the country sounded like Barbara.

She was one of a kind.
