Randy Moss and Larry Fitzgerald were among 19 players and three coaches in the College Football Hall of Fame class announced Monday.

His 26 touchdown receptions that season were a Bowl Subdivision record. He played for five teams over 14 NFL seasons and was the league's leading receiver five times.

Fitzgerald was the 2003 Heisman Trophy runner-up and Biletnikoff Award winner while playing for Pittsburgh, where he totaled 161 catches for 2,677 yards and a school-record 34 touchdowns over his two seasons. He caught a touchdown in 18 consecutive games to set an NCAA record. He was the third overall pick in the 2004 NFL draft and 11-time Pro Bowl selection in 17 years with the Arizona Cardinals.

In a way my team won - nah, that’s wrong - I didn’t have a team because payoffs are bs because they can’t pick a “best” team (the playoffs are simply a way for big business to monetize collage football).
But great fun knowing that tens, or would it be hundreds of thousands of bammer fans lost again.

Crap.

Sources: Washington's DeBoer agrees to become next Alabama coach

:(

Crap, crap, crap.
Washington WR Rome Odunze, RB Dillon Johnson declaring for NFL draft

Washington is losing two skilled players to the NFL draft: wide receiver Rome Odunze and running back Dillon Johnson.

A third player, safety Mishael Powell, who started every game and had three interceptions and 38 tackles, has entered the transfer portal....
Gonna be a struggle to repeat 2023.

I thought that DeBoer might have some significant culture shock going from Seattle to Tuscaloosa, but since he was previously at Fresno State and Southern Illinois, so maybe not.

Growing up, college play and coaching in SD, along with coaching at IN may be even more culturally similar to Bama.

Washington QB Will Rogers enters transfer portal again

Washington quarterback Will Rogers entered his name in the transfer portal Friday night, marking the second time in the past two months he has been in the portal.

Rogers first entered his name in the database Nov. 27, transferring from Mississippi State. His coach, Zach Arnett, was fired Nov. 13, and replaced with Oklahoma offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby, which prompted Rogers to enter the portal the first time.

He announced he would transfer to Washington on Dec. 15, and looked as though he would be Kalen DeBoer's replacement at quarterback for outgoing Michael Penix Jr....

He was the fifth Washington player to enter the transfer portal Friday, joining All Pac-12 second team cornerback Jabbar Muhammad, safety Mishael Powell, linebacker Ethan Barr and tight end Tre Watson.

At quarterback, Washington loses Penix and also saw Dylan Morris and Will Haskell enter the transfer portal. With Rogers also in the portal, if he decides to transfer it will leave the quarterback room sparse. The staff signed four-star Austin Mack in the 2023 class but the roster won't have much experience at the position if Rogers departs.
Ugh, but it's fitting for a school that betrayed the PAC-12. All this before Washington even names a new HC. I wouldn't make any off-season wagers on the Big Ten Conference Huskies.

 Fins too?

A sure sign that you may be correct:
Dak Prescott backs Mike McCarthy as Jerry Jones mum on coach's future
-0-?
... Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones, now 81 and a 28th season removed from the franchise's last Super Bowl appearance ...

... Jones said. "... 'Do we get to play here again next week?' And we can't. That could have happened by a point or it could have happened the way it happened out there...."

McCarthy has one more year left on his contract. He is 42-25 in four regular seasons with the Cowboys, including three straight 12-win campaigns and NFC East titles in 2021 and 2023. But he has just one playoff victory ...
<sniff> Those are beautiful passages

McCarthy survived, barely.

Miami TE Cam McCormick granted ninth year of eligibility

... McCormick, who began his career at Oregon in 2016, missed significant parts of four different seasons due to injury, which along with his redshirt year and the COVID year of 2020 allowed him to petition the NCAA for an unprecedented ninth season of eligibility....

McCormick, 25, was originally a three-star prospect out of Bend, Oregon. He was part of the 2016 signing class at Oregon that included QB Justin Herbert, and a national class that included Nick Bosa, Ed Oliver, Rashan Gary and Jalen Hurts -- all now established NFL veterans....

The ninth-year waiver was approved by the ACC, and McCormick said it was an easy decision to return, noting that his goal is to play in the NFL and, "I want to say I gave it my best opportunity and best shot." ...
Good for him! If the NFL doesn't work out he'll be eligible for Social Security ;)
