Thanks GOAT!

It was obvious he wasn't enjoying this season for a lot of reasons. During the season I thought he was done, but then I thought he'd go one more round to go out on at least a decent season especially now that the Niners could use his services.

How much remorse does he have for costing his marriage for a crap season? Maybe the marriage was doomed before the season. Maybe we'll never know.

I also wonder if the up and coming/arrived crop of QBs was factor. He wasn't neccesarily gonna be the top dog wherever he played.

Tom, you can do better with your tweet selection now that you’re retired
You also have time to come to my birthday party. I never invited you before because I knew you were busy.
Put on a hoodie and sit toward the back. Nobody will know it’s you. Occasionally chuckle and lean over to the person next to you and say, “gosh, that Tom Brady fella really is the bees knees.”

So I tuned in this morning for the last part of the so-called NFL "skills competition" that is part of what is taking the place of what used to be the pretend football game called the "Pro Bowl." At the time, they were having the "best catch" competition where a combination of thrower and catcher do stunt catches. One guy floated on a tube in a pool and caught one pass in his right hand, one in his left, one with his feet. Another was attached to some zip line looking thing and caught a pass at (stated) 30mph. Anyway, the players would introduce themselves and ask for hashtag votes. They were all saying the same thing, so it was obvious they were reading it off a cue screen. So this guy gets up and says "Welcome to NFL Best Catch contest. Vote hashtag best catch, hashtag your name."

Lulu would be a lot more entertaining than the flag games yesterday.

Interesting, thanks. GOAT stuff.

All that vision and he couldn't see that unretiring would mean:
Marriage ended;
Brady's only losing season as a starter;
Barely making the playoffs, only the 4th team to do so with a losing record;
Stomped by Dallas.

It's a rarity that athletes go out on top. Elway and Manning (though a shell of himself) did it. Brady probably wanted that storybook ending but got the nightmare. Probably contributed as much as anything with his decision to hang em up.
