Animals

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Went out back to stop the dog from barking this morning. Rounding the corner to the side yard brought me face to face with the bear. He looked at me and slowly hoisted himself to the top of the fence, I looked at him and quickly ran away. Lulu followed me without coaxing.
You didn't ask if he had a warrant? ;)

I didn't even say, "Hi".

Music critic?
Musician and sound-man Julien Gauthier was travelling across the Mackenzie River in the remote Tulita area of the Northwest Territories, in order to record sounds of nature for a musical project he was working on. According to a crowdfunding page prior to his trip, Gauthier had planned to canoe down the Mackenzie River from Fort Providence to Inuvik, recording the sounds of Canada's nature and wildlife on his way.
It could work.

The donkey story was good; it had evidently been stranded out there for a while. But for some king hell animal stuff, I saw a rhino this morning treating an official zoo vehicle (white with random black stripes like a zebra) like a two dollar whore on the bad side of Cleveland. Rolled it over several times with a woman inside; this rhino was either hot for a big zebra or else thought one ate a human and just couldn't figure out what the fuck was going on. Can't find the video of it now but ties Nixon's resignation speech for sheer keen eye reality. The woman in the vehicle was not badly injured; it was in Germany somewhere.....rhino could have also been a goddam Nazi.

Gas-Sniffing Russian Bears Addicted To Aviation Fuel

https://m.huffingtonpost.ca/2013/03/18/ ... 01263.html
During a seven-month stint with these critters — there are about 700 brown bears living in the reserve — photographer Igor Shpilenok captured unnerving scenes of their strange habit.

In the images, bears hover over the barrels for good long spells, drawing deeply from the fumes. They they paw up the earth to dig a shallow hole — and promptly collapse in it.

I don't blame them. I'd huff me some gas, too if I was in Russia. Hell, if trump gets re elected, I'll definitely be far into the highest octane stuff I can get my hands on by the end of next year.
