I've got nothing against pigs in general, but they aren't these cute cuddly 'Babe" characters. A lot of the reason fewer people get killed by pigs than dogs is better control measures. But they're capable of taking off a leg or arm in one bite.

Juvenile copperheads have a yellow or green tail to attract small prey.

No yellow or green tail visible with the MO snake, though. There could be regional variations in colors, too.
