BBCode is OFF
Smilies are OFF

Why are these turned off? Do you have to be a registered member to use them?

Tee hee.
Perhaps it's time to resurrect the Save the Wingnut Foundation.
Thorny obviously missed out on his piece of the pie.

Uncle Joe was a character on the old tv show Petticoat Junction; he was never honest, and went out of his way to obscure his motives. I think he was a Republican or perhaps a Tea Parrot. The truth was not in him.

Uncle Joe Carson was so insubstantial his picture disappeared. I hate when that happens.
Yeah, he probably would have turned Sam Drucker in for a commie if he stocked vodka.
Lazy bastard too:

That's Uncle Joe, he's movin' kinda slow at the junction...Petticoat Junction woo hoo.

Even these three couldn't get the old coot moving.

Yes, very much so. I always figured Sam Drucker for an acid head; he was always so intense.....it's probably what made all his hair fall out. And Ralph, the female train engineer was way ahead of her time....it should have been her show.

Yep, there was definitely something squirrely about old Sam. He seemed to be too wired
up for a shopkeeper in a slow moving little country town. Who knows what he was up to
in that back room when there was a lull in store traffic, which was quite often.

Ralph....and those two "bachelor" railroad guys. They were pulled off on a siding half the
time and they weren't doing it for maintenance either. Ahead of their time.

Sam probably taught Owsley Stanley everything about chemistry.

I keep thinking that the two guys on the train were Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs, but this may be wrong....just a notion I may have grabbed from thin air while in Sam's back room lab. 8-)

Smiley Burnett and Rufe Davis, AKA Charlie Pratt and Floyd Smoot.
Don't forget the greedy old crank, Homer Bedlow.
Then there was the crooning crop-duster. Oh, my.

Oh, yeah.....now it's coming back to me.....Flatt and Scruggs had an appearance or two on Beverly Hillbillies; they did the soundtrack for it. Just thinking back on it all makes me want to lounge out by the cement pond with a beer cooler and a head full of Sam's....well, never mind.

Hugh.....don't you have neighborhood traffic detail today. Ya gotta have something to do to keep an old geezer like you busy. Don't forget to wear your orange vest and your tin foil badge. That way you will look official.
