Riding a 2/6 FLOAT, I went double letter on 3/6 with my GoCubsGo conscience saying, "Don't do that."
It was the wrong double letter, TRACT. I know, lame word but the clock was ticking.
The lame word gave me a green, added a yellow letter and set me up for the solution seconds later HEADY of me
That solution was a different double letter, which GoCubsGo conscience had again warned me against
You took more than twice as long by shunning a double letter solution
It was our differing double letter strategies that set us (solution) and gave me a win with (solution)

Thanks, that does make me feel better. I was seeing so many possibilities that I made a list in order to sort by likelihood.

The solution is a rarely used, though legit, word and IMO RISER, MIXER, CIDER and HIKER were all better choices. The obscure FIVER was the only word on my list that I didn't use. I really paid the (solution) with frustration (Solution) never occurred to me, but I had the sense that were even more options to be found.
