Sorry.
Spoiler:
Lucky opener.
delta is a strong opening guess. And it was extraordinarily lucky today. You’ve eliminated all but four of the words in my dictionary: draft, daunt, datum or ducat.

Went with DATUM.

Spoiler:
All of my guesses are as legit as the solution until I tried DRACK for 5/6 (when I'd already long lost to GoCubsGo). I didn't even know that it's a word. Turns out it's Swedish for past drinking:
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/drack
https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/dricka#Swedish

Or, an unattractive woman, a mayfly, a shortening of the name of a Greek coin, or to drench.
https://www.oed.com/search/dictionary/? ... es&q=drack

Who knew? Then, I tried DRAPY, which Wordle accepted when I can't find anyone who says it's a real word. :headscratch: That may have cost me a point, if the solution would have come to me after DRAPY was rejected. :ateeth:

I tried DRAIN, DRAWL, DRAMA, DRACK. Your list doesn't include DRAPY, either, even though it has several oddballs. Wordle screwed me.

We were very similar! My guesses were (in order) DRAIN, DRAWL, DRAMA, DRAGS and then finally the correct answer.

Mine are in order, too. That's  that our first 3 match exactly. Mediocre minds think alike, too. ;)

You guys were forgetting your WoF letters.
Spoiler:
DRAIN - WoF + the I
DRAWL - WoF
DRAMA - Double A, + M is pretty common
If I could have thought of a T word, I would have. Believe me, I tried before all else. Maybe if Wordle hadn't screwed me by accepting DRAPY. ;)

Tough one.

Avg solve was 5.0, even wordlebot took five tries.

20.5% bust rate.
