Ex President* Trump

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Didn't really know where to post this.

Wishful thinking aside, is there an actual endgame here?

"Wishful thinking aside"? I'm wondering if there's a GoFundMe where I can support Viktor Bout's efforts.

"Telegram"? Seriously?
Maybe he meant Telegram (software) instant messaging (IM) service?
... In January 2021, Telegram surpassed 500 million monthly active users. It was the most downloaded app worldwide in January 2021 with 1 billion downloads globally as of late August 2021. Research suggests that the Telegram surge in January 2021 was driven partly by the deplatforming of Parler by big-tech firms. In June 2022, Telegram surpassed 700 million monthly active users....

Telegram has overtaken WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger to become the most popular instant messaging application in Belarus, Moldova, Jordan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Russia, and Ukraine.
Idk if TRE45QN uses it.

Such an alternate universe we undoubtedly live in where (a) a "real" former President* of the US would write such drivel and (b) where a person who writes such drivel could possibly be considered a serious candidate to be President.

Hell in handbaskets. Doom. Inmates running asylums. Matrix with short circuits.

I understand that Trump's life was always one of exaggeration, self-promotion, and puffery. Real estate people write ads about a "charming bungalow with water view" although some might see it as a dumpette next to a drainage ditch. TV people promote their shows as "fabulous, nothing like it before, world's first..." OKfine. But somewhere along the line Trump decided to step into what should be a more real world where people have real jobs and can't be ousted with "you're fired" and where people sometimes rely more on what they see than what is said. He treated his entire presidency* as a reality TV show that very few believe is totally unscripted. So he is who he is, and the only explanation of how he still has supporters is cultism. Seriously. There is no other rational explanation.

Strange, I grew up without God being mentioned in my schools or public squares.

Wonder where he's thinking of?

No street preachers in suburbia and I don't recall ever seeing someone praying in grade school, but in my public jr high we studied Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's first collaboration. Little mention of god and no proselytizing in class. Rather, it was poetry, culture, hip music and a moral lesson. I'm sure it was not part of any state, Board or even school curriculum. It was just a young teacher making learning mod and fun for kids at a chronically disinterested age. It's about the only thing I remember learning in jr high and I even remember the teacher's name. I'm sure it wouldn't be done now without tons of red tape - the secularists would consider it establishment and the believers would consider it blasphemy. For better or worse teachers used to have more freedom.

As far as Dolt .45 goes, there are religion classes in public school and no one's taken god out of the public squares. Once again, he's an ignorant, perpetual victim crybaby.

How is it possible to believe that God is omnipotent, creator of the universe, Lord of Lords, King of Kings, yada, and still believe it's even possible to "take him out" of anywhere he wants to be?

These people are past masters at dealing with cognitive dissonance. Not to mention the usual hypocrisy and lack of critical thinking skills.

Unadulterated bullshit and cringe aside, some of these letters were from his time in office.

He still has them? Nice self incrimination.

My fantasy:
Trump trashes DeSantis and his dirt-diggers make DeSantis toxic.
Trump gets convicted or has major health issues (or even dies for all I care)
GQP left in internal chaos, being forced to either (a) put up a moon-barker that's as crazy but less well-known and popular as Trump; or (b) put up a less crazy who wouldn't get much help from the "base."
Biden sees the chaos, decides to end his campaign and turns it over to Newsome.
Newsom stomps and fish-slaps the GQP unknown and some version of normalcy is returned to New Camelot.
