About the Program ...

Culture Under Threat
Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which began on February 24, 2022, has purposefully sought to destroy Ukrainian culture as part of its aims....

Just as in 1922, the Ukrainian National Republic used the soft power of music to preserve and promote Ukraine’s independence, Ukrainian artists today are once again turning to culture to communicate with the world. A 1919 review of the Ukrainian Republic Choir in the Genevan journal La Patrie Suisse mused that the Ukrainian National Republic established its independence through the motto, “I sing, therefore I am.” Ukraine continues to sing and continues to be.

Humanitarian Support
Proceeds from the concert will be donated to United 24, a global non-governmental organization and crowdfunding platform launched by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in May 2022. It is the primary channel for collecting charitable donations to support humanitarian and medical care, reconstruction of public services, and defense and demining in Ukraine. Our proceeds will be specifically allocated towards the reconstruction of public services.

:) Good question, but I'm not sharing the vids of what's happening to Russian soldiers in trenches and foxholes, too gruesome. APCs aren't doing very well, either. I've shared some of those vids if they aren't too graphic.

Bombing of Putin’s Most Feared Fighters Infuriates Russia
TOP NOTCH
Ukrainian authorities say the Russian military is “carefully concealing” its losses in a HIMARS strike that hit the group’s headquarters.

The Russian mercenaries hailed by their leader as the most skilled and experienced soldiers in the war against Ukraine have gotten themselves blown up over the weekend.

Pro-Kremlin Russian media channels were the first to reveal the strike Sunday on a hotel in the occupied Luhansk region, furiously noting that “the enemy used HIMARS to hit the hotel in Kadiivka where Wagner fighters were located.”

Photos showed the building, a hotel called “Zhdanov’s Guest House,” blown to smithereens, though no details were immediately given on how many Wagner fighters were killed....

Ukrainian authorities say the Russian military is “carefully concealing” its losses in the strike. Serhiy Haidai, the Ukrainian governor of Luhansk, confirmed the strike and quipped on Telegram that “many” Wagner mercenaries would undoubtedly be absent for their next roll call.

On Tuesday, Haidai issued a statement saying “hundreds” of Wagnerites have been killed before reaching the frontline in the last week and a half, either by “‘explosions’ caused by smoking in their headquarters or their barracks.” ...
Opps.

Wagner Group

Aside: "smithereens" is not used often enough in our modern world.

It became known how exactly Russian cruiser Moskva was discovered and sunk: details and photos

Image

On 13 April, Ukrainian defenders were able to discover and reach the flagship of the Russian fleet, Moskva, with a Neptune missile due to bad weather and the arrogance of Russian sailors.

... around 16:00 on 13 April, the operator of the Neptune complex received very unexpected data: a conventional radar showed a large target about 120 km from the coast. An object of this size in this sector of the Black Sea could only be the cruiser Moskva.

Ukrainian Rocket Forces say that nature itself helped them see the Russian target.

Since there were dense clouds over the sea, the radar signal was reflected from them to the surface of the water and from the water back to the clouds, and in such a corridor, the radar unexpectedly reached the Moskva cruiser....

Ukrainska Pravda also managed to get a photo of this historic missile launch....

It became clear that the Neptunes hit the target when the Moskva cruiser suddenly moved and tried to hide behind the Boiko towers. And also because four ships simultaneously rushed to the flagship of the Russian fleet from different directions....

When the Ukrainian military realised that a tugboat had left Crimea for Moskva, it became obvious to them that the situation on the cruiser was critical.

On the night of 14 April, one of the leading current security officials wrote to UP journalists: "Moskva is done".

Video:
Russian troops hit by deadly missile attack during Putin's New Year speech

Recently released footage shows the moment a Ukrainian missile attack hits a barracks in Makiivka, Donbas just minutes before midnight on the 31 December.

The Ukrainian missile strike reportedly hit the Russian base during Putin's New Year speech.

Ukraine’s military command puts the number of Russian deaths at up to 400, with 300 wounded, while Moscow sources suggested lower figures in the dozens but do admit to a major loss of life.

A dramatic video shows a family watching Putin’s address on a smartphone as they prepare to eat the traditional New Year meal minutes before midnight.

A woman is on the balcony of her residential block and returns screaming in terror as an incoming attack evidently targets a nearby vocational school converted to a barracks for Russian forces.

This footage is yet to be verified and the location is unconfirmed....
Article:
Anger in Russia as scores of troops killed in one of Ukraine war's deadliest strikes

Russia acknowledged on Monday that scores of its troops were killed in one of the Ukraine war's deadliest strikes, drawing demands from Russian nationalist bloggers for commanders to be punished for housing soldiers alongside an ammunition dump.

Russia's defence ministry said 63 soldiers had died in the fiery blast which destroyed a temporary barracks in a former vocational college in Makiivka, twin city of the Russian-occupied regional capital of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine.

It said the accommodation had been hit by four rockets fired from U.S.-made HIMARS launchers, claiming two rockets had been shot down. Kyiv said the Russian death toll was in the hundreds, though pro-Russian officials called this an exaggeration.

Russian military bloggers said the huge destruction was a result of storing ammunition in the same building as a barracks, despite commanders knowing it was within range of Ukrainian rockets....

"What happened in Makiivka is horrible," wrote Archangel Spetznaz Z, another Russian military blogger with more than 700,000 followers on Telegram.

"Who came up with the idea to place personnel in large numbers in one building, where even a fool understands that even if they hit with artillery, there will be many wounded or dead?" he wrote. Commanders "couldn't care less" about ammunition stored in disarray on the battlefield, he said....

Sergei Mironov, a legislator and former chairman of the Senate, Russia's upper house, demanded criminal liability for the officials who had "allowed the concentration of military personnel in an unprotected building" and "all the higher authorities who did not provide the proper level of security".

"Obviously neither intelligence nor counterintelligence nor air defence worked properly," he said in a post on Telegram.

Russia's acknowledgement of scores of deaths in one incident was almost without precedent. Moscow rarely releases figures for its casualties, and when it does the figures are typically low - it acknowledged just one death from among a crew of hundreds when Ukraine sank its flagship cruiser Moskva in April....

 I'm always very impressed when a tank is able to drive itself off of a ship.

Listen up, recruits. Boris, you're assigned to a T-90.
Boris: Cool!
Ivan, you're assigned to a T-34.

Ivan: WTF?

Opps.
I can't find where anyone's bothered to compare Germany’s Leopard 2 and the T-34, but many say that the Leopard 2 is the best tank in the world. Opps again.
