Because most of us don't wear white socks with our sandals and yell at kids to get off the lawn.
Well, maybe some do.

Actually, when I was a teen I used to enjoy watching the bocce ball players in GG Park. They wore leather shoes with black socks.

So there.

Of course i didn't watch very long. It got boring fairly quickly.
