Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

So this guy is supposed to be "in charge" of three large companies - the titular "CEO" and "Chief Twit" at Twitter - a company that is literally crumbling around him. How in the world does he have time to do the petty little crap he apparently does?

Y'all really don’t see advantage in seeing it publicly die a humiliating death?

That may still happen. We don't know what his stepping down will look like irl. I see both sides of the question and was not able to vote, anyhow - blue checks only. This is the proverbial train wreck that I have no control over. I do appreciate that Mush has besmirched DerSantis fanboys and cons in general. More info:

I think he paid the one billion dollar penalty forty four times. And no way in hell would I take the job of running twitter. Musk would be bulldogging me constantly. I'd fish slap him and Musk stomp him within a week.

 Yep, he'll still be owner and Twitter may still be a haven for the Klan.

From some ex-Tesla employees apparently they had like a whole division whose job it was to manage Elon's destructive tendencies and to stage workspaces before he came in to keep him happy. He really believed he was doing things on his own while being handled, but at Twitter there is none of that, so he keeps doing what he's always done unaware that without a support structure that treated him like a child he would have crashed and burned a long time ago.

Spits out money, too.

Elon Musk Becomes First Person In History To Lose $200 Billion: Report
He's still worth a not-too-shabby $137 billion, according to Bloomberg.

:happy-cheerleaderkid:
... Much of Musk’s lost billions have been swallowed up by the plummeting value of his shares in Tesla, the electric vehicle company of which he is CEO. That value has dropped 65% this year, and dove 11% last Tuesday alone, as Bloomberg noted Friday.
billy.pilgrim did well to divest. See below.
... Musk was the world’s richest person until earlier this month, when he was surpassed by European fashion magnate Bernard Arnault, the powerhouse behind LVMH....

The billionaire has described the financially challenged Twitter as “basically ... a plane that is headed toward the ground at high speed with the engines on fire and the controls don’t work.”

The company is apparently so strapped for cash that Musk recently shut down the servers supporting a Twitter data center in Sacramento. He has also fired janitors at Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters, reportedly forcing some staffers to bring in their own toilet paper.

Tesla investors fear Musk’s over-involvement in Twitter is distracting him from responding to serious issues at Tesla amid mounting competition.

In a dramatic move, Tesla has been offering American consumers a $7,500 discount on certain car models before the end of the year. The company is also reportedly reducing production at its Shanghai plant.
He really screwed the pooch.
... The world’s billionaires collectively lost nearly $2 trillion in 2022, Forbes reported earlier this month. American billionaires lost a combined $660 billion, more than in any other country, Forbes noted, and Musk lost the most of all.
(The loss occurred, however, after the world’s billionaires added $5 trillion to their collective wealth between March 2020 and November 2021.) ...
It Was a Bad Year for Stocks, and a Worse Year for Tesla

In a down year for stocks, the 65% drop in Tesla’s share price stands out for the scale of wealth vaporized and the unorthodox behavior of its CEO, Elon Musk.

The collapse of Tesla’s stock price destroyed about $672 billion in market value. And Musk, once hailed as a genius who remade the car industry, appears increasingly distracted by his acquisition of Twitter and is using the social network to vent his frustrations. He insulted one of his critics this week by describing him as having “tiny testicles.” ...

Heh, "tiny testicles" is probably better than Tesla testicles or Twitter testicles.

(Sigh) Musk did not "force" anyone to bring in their own toilet paper. Some employees found it in their best interest to bring their own when janitorial supply and services were cut. Picky, I know. But still.

Anyway, apparently working in those offices is totally miserable as it now includes a stench of body odor from all those basically living there, mixed with a stench of rotting food scraps, microwaved fish etc., and piled up trash, all in total disarray amongst people screaming at each other.
"Dumpster fire" is waaaaay too mild.

The wonder of it is that it only cost 44 billion dollars. What a deal. I'm surprised trump isn't involved.
