Leopards!
... The Congressional Budget Office estimated the bill would cost the federal government less than a half million dollars.
Donald Trump costs taxpayers $3.4M the day before New Years with quick golf trip
7 times what the Arkansas Valley Conduit Act will cost.
... At the time, the same report also stated that Trump's golf expenses for 2025 will top $75m should he make just two more trips to his Mar-a-Lago resort before the end of the year.
Having arrived on December 20 and played golf every day since, there's a good chance that figure has been met. Perhaps the most terrifying statistic, however, is that if he follows the same golfing schedule for the remainder of his four-year term, that figure will exceed $300 million.
600 times what the Arkansas Valley Conduit Act will cost.
This is almost double the amount covered by the U.S. taxpayer during the veteran politician's first term in the White House between 2017 and 2021, when he spent $151.5 million of taxpayers' money on golf-related travel and security expenses.
Back to the original article:
... The bill passed via voice vote in the House and unanimous consent in the Senate. That huge Congressional support for the project would seem to make the veto ripe for an override, but that would require testing the will of Republican leaders in both chambers to allow a vote and take on their party’s leader. Such a challenge to Trump is no sure thing.

Thune and Johnson the johnson are pussies.
... "President Trump decided to veto a completely non-controversial, bipartisan bill that passed both the House and Senate unanimously,” Boebert said. “If this administration wants to make its legacy blocking projects that deliver water to rural Americans; that's on them."
Boebert also questioned the president’s motives for the veto, suggesting it might be retribution because she helped ensure a vote on releasing the Epstein files.
“I sincerely hope this veto has nothing to do with political retaliation for calling out corruption and demanding accountability. Americans deserve leadership that puts people over politics.”
DonOLD's entire first year has been about retribution.
The entire
Fryingpan–Arkansas Project, largely completed already, is very impressive. I'm not sure that I approve of such extreme manipulation of nature, especially with the Colorado River drying up some years, but what's done is done.
