Obviously the price of electronics are going to go way up (https://www.tomshardware.com/news/trump ... ics-prices) which is near and dear to my heart. Thinking about upgrading a laptop before he takes office.

What documents should we keep home and ready to present so we don't get caught up in the mass deportations?

What else can we do to prepare? Anything else we should buy now instead of later?

Stocks, when's the right time to pull out, if any?

They already were! I need one... badly, but I'm not paying what they want. I'll keep repairing and driving until it turns into rust. I think Trump said 100% tariffs on Mexico... so car prices doubling.... lol

TRE45QN is beholden to Musk big time. He might be hesitant to take actions that negatively impact Tesla. Not sure how that might affect other brands.

Trump does owe musk, but I don't think Trump understands that concept. If it's good for Trump it'll happen regardless of it's effects on other people including musk.

Steve Bannon told us he was feeling “empowered” after his release from prison last week. It’s quite obvious he means it.

Hours after Donald Trump’s victory, the former Trump campaign official and self-described “political prisoner” went on an angry rant, during which he revealed what very well may be the first targets in Trump’s second term.

“You stole the 2020 election.… This entire phony thing is getting swept out,” Bannon said. “Biden’s getting swept out. Kamala Harris is getting swept out. MSNBC is getting swept out. ... Bannon still faces criminal charges in New York state court, where he allegedly scammed donors who pledged money toward constructing the U.S.-Mexico border wall. The trial is set for December. The 70-year-old has pleaded not guilty.

Trump's Agenda47 campaign proposed eliminating the Department of Education -- which, according to the DOE website, "establishes policy for, administers and coordinates most federal assistance to education."

The DOE, established by President Jimmy Carter, provides programs such as Title I funding for low-achieving or high-poverty K-12 schools in need of support, as well as Pell Grants for undergraduate students in high financial need.


Trump's campaign has outlined a plan that features prayer in public schools, an expansion of parental rights in education, patriotism as a centerpiece of education and an emphasis on the "American Way of Life."

He has also called for the dismantling of diversity initiatives in education and federal funding cuts for schools or programs that feature “critical race theory, gender ideology or other inappropriate racial, sexual or political content." Republican-backed legislation across the country has similarly sought to limit these topics, and the efforts have been criticized for being vague and leading to "censorship" in schools and classrooms on topics concerning race, gender and politics.

Trump has also suggested that he would create a new credentialing body to certify teachers "who embrace patriotic values and support the American Way of Life" and reinstate his administration's 1776 Commission to align the teaching of history with the "values" of the founding of the United States -- though Agenda47 does not elaborate further on what such values are or define the criteria for embracing the "American Way of Life."

Same here, except for the cats. But mainly no news broadcasts. One of the worst things about Trumps' last term wasn't what he actually did (which was bad enough) but that the news was always Trump Trump Trump no matter what. And filled with meaningless stuff that he rattled off probably intentionally for red herrings. "Trump announced plans today to (do something in the future)" and everybody reports it and everybody is all atwitter over it and then it goes away. It's not in the interest of my own mental health to put up with that bullshit anymore.
