No surprise that SoupySales has such enmity for our first majority non-White state. Such fear and hatred, shame. That's how MAGA is and how Faux Noise tells them to be.O Really wrote: ↑Sat Aug 30, 2025 4:03 pmYou mean the current 39 or so million residents who "have not left"? It's expensive, but to a lot of people, including myself, it's well worth it.
I'm guessing you must have lived in California sometime in the past in order to have such an understanding of the "misery."

Gratefully, I have not lived in CA. My knowledge and opinion of CA is probably more than the knowledge O Really has about MS which he has bashed in the past.O Really wrote: ↑Sat Aug 30, 2025 4:03 pmYou mean the current 39 or so million residents who "have not left"? Not surprised the folks who have not left CA think well of Newsom. They should enjoy the misery.

Re: 2028 Elections
Good point, if it were true. Over the years I have done extensive and in person work for clients in Tupelo, Jackson, and Biloxi, some of whom also had locations in other more rural parts of the state. But nevermind my own experience, a cursory look at demographic stats clearly shows Mississippi is no societal paradise, and being at the bottom in education doesn't help. But Mississippi has some nice places and undoubtedly some good people. My bashing is largely because the state has a plethora of rednecks and I'm prejudiced against rednecks.supesalemgr2 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 31, 2025 6:27 amGratefully, I have not lived in CA. Speaking of Mississippi, Jackson has the highest violent crime rate in the nations, yes significantly higher than LA or Chicago. Can we expect Trump to send "help" in the form of military? Naa, I didn't think so.

No question Jackson has deteriorated. I lived there 25 years, 70's-90's, and it was great place to raise a family. Like many urban areas folks have moved out of the city. No question the Delta is very depressed.

I went to a navy school at Naval Air Station Meridian MS in ealy 75. I don't remember any crime or even reading about any. But I do remember riding with my fellow student in his Datsun 240Z to some local mall or something. I remember seeing a lot of poeverty and rundown houses and even shacks all the way there. it made me feel guilty somehow.

‘Insanity’: Top Democrat is reportedly moving toward another presidential run
Kamala.
IMO she earned the right to run again if she wants it. Let her make her case in a full primary season vs any opponents. I may even vote for her. 2024 Kamala was better than 2020 Kamala. If Dems nationwide think that she gives them the best chance in Nov, so be it.

Well, I suppose if you use the definition of "insanity" as being to do the same thing over and over and expect a different result, then the guy has a point. But it's not unusual for a candidate to lose in their first attempt and win next time around. However, a slightly Blackish woman who will always carry the stigma of losing to a drooling psychopath convicted felon isn't the way.Vrede too wrote: ↑Tue Dec 16, 2025 8:05 am‘Insanity’: Top Democrat is reportedly moving toward another presidential run

Who is your 12/2025 pick for who that person might be?
You asked us that a couple of months ago.
Are you OK?

Why would I change as nobody is actually running yet and won't be until the fall.
As an aside, at two plus years the presidential election cycle is way too long. Another effed up thing in this country.

What country does it better? Canada. England. France. Australia. New Zealand. And at this point, considering the massive effort to corrupt the process, practically every other democratic country.

And the freedom of this country allows one to move to those countries and give up other rights here. Just a reminder, we are not a democracy, we are a representative republic.
