Iran War

Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Does Cubby believe our action with Israel against Iran is stupid?
Unbelievably stupid.

BTW, you can kiss you "$2.00 gas" prices away too.

Please share what is unbelievably stupid about taking out regime that wants to destroy your country? BTW, a little uptick in gas prices is a small price to pay to rid the world of the current Iranian regime.

The current Iranian government aren't good people. The violent crackdown on the recent protests resulting in thousands of deaths are proof of that. I highly doubt anyone here will defend them.

The main concern is being stuck in another middle eastern quagmire like Iraq 2

Well if wanting to destroy the US is the criteria, Trump will have a lot of countries to go on his hit list - and then himself, of course.

Air to air 8 missiles. Ground attack 2 jdams. That's why there are only 11 f22's needed. Iran has no real air force.
I should have known our resident right winger didn't have all the relevant information. That's how they roll. But not having been in the air force, I always assumed the "F" designation was for "fighter."
The US no longer builds attack only aircraft. It started with F/A 18, now all F aircraft are dual role. The f22's which entered service in 2005 was the last pure fighter built for the US. The F35 has 3 versions, the F35a which is the base model the US has a large number of them. They are the export version now. The F35b which is the marine stol version and the F35c which is the model with all the options and supposedly will only be operated by the US.

I am almost completely ignorant when it comes to foreign affairs. Honestly, I never even heard of this Khameni guy. Is he really Iran’s leader? Don’t they have a president?

I have mixed feelings about this attack. If it was necessary to prevent Iran from building their nuclear arsenal, then fine. But I thought we already took care of that several months ago?

If it was to simply facilitate regime change, I don’t support that.

Yes, their president is the political leader, but he is beholden to the religious leaders and their Revolutionary Guard. This gang was headed by the now deceased Ayatollah Khameni.

We actually took care of that with the Obama treaty several years ago, but TRE45QN abrogated it for no reason.

That and there's also asserting US imperialism, controlling Iran's oil and bending over for NuttyYahoo.

It was never about trusting Iran, silly. You watched too much Faux Noise. It was verified by inspections and remote monitoring and was also guaranteed by the other signatories - China, France, Russia, the U.K., plus Germany, none of whom joined Dolt .45 in withdrawing.
Iran nuclear deal

I don’t need Fox News to distrust an enemy like Iran. Common sense should tell you not to trust a bunch of terrorist sand monkeys. And you actually trust the likes of China and Russia/

You should've clicked on the link. It was "trust but verify" and there were a lot of signatories and inspectors in the treaty.

Again, "trust" has never been a part of ANY nuclear treaty, racist. The stakes are too high. Only Faux Noise would leave you so confused over the matter, and "China and Russia" had nothing to be gained from an Iran with nuclear weapons. That you're CONveniently ignoring the other signatories is noted.

Can you post an article that we can read detailing how Iran wasn't abiding by the agreement before Trump tossed it out? Or is your source your "feelz"

Reagan had part of it right, but had the party wrong.

He'd be aghast at today's "Republicans."
