Re: I-26 and suburban sprawl
Heck, if they'd just enforce the slower traffic keep right law the problem would solve itself.

Widening a road never ends congestion, it just lets more cars be congested. The only solution to congestion is more alternate routes.Vrede wrote:When going that way I take 191 or 25 at times that I-26 is likely to be slow. I always get to A'ville or back within 10 minutes or less of the time it takes when I-26 is clear.

Well, yes, "alternate routes" would include bus, light rail, etc.Vrede wrote:Or, a comprehensive land use and transportation plan to reduce single occupancy vehicle travel.
Better now, when the next oil crisis or price leap hits will be too late.

Damn you clowns are so naive still. This is Henderson County not ATL. I would suspect most of the traffic on I-26 is not local. Get a horse and buggy and stay off I-26.

It wasn't intended as a smear. It's just that I recalled Eva being sucessful in getting this issue struck down the first time around.Vrede wrote:Like her or not, what does it matter? Discuss the issue, don't try and smear by association. The Piper wrote:Have they joined ranks with Eva?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe hers was a tree-hugger issue.
