Generally an unmoderated forum for discussion of pretty much any topic. The focus however, is usually politics.

Didn't see it here, they cut it off because of the time difference to some really chintzy local coverage.

We get all the New Years shows twice - live from about 7-9, then again from 9-midnight. Bummer to cut off the end.

What? Did I miss the New Year too?
But really New Years Day meant so much more to me when there were 10 or so games on this last day of college football. Back before the shiny bcs object distracted enough fans into believing that a 10 or 15 game schedule can produce any real measure of best.
Borrowed TVs in every room, beer, whisky, bloody marys, black-eyed peas, cornbread, and people.
It stood out for me, as I haven't gone out on New Year's Eve since I witnessed something upsetting on NYE in 1983.

Those were Dolly's days, back when she was one of the few recording something special with Old Time. She's still great but her voice is suffering from age.
60s and 70s. I saw her fairly often when I worked at Opryland. She always had a smile and a greeting for everyone.

She will be missed.

I should have included the 80s - her late 30s and early 40s. After that she lost something to me when she went so commercial. I like her music with Porter more than Miley.

Top 20 songs played on Spotify ever. I'd never heard any of them that I know of.

Listened to the top 3 or so and decided that I probably wasn't their market.

Then, I got past the Bs and . . . :problem:

Well, past the B's would include Calvin Harris, Frank Ocean, Idris Elba, and LindaLindas. As it turns out, a whole lot of these are "international", the dominant genres are Latin and HipHop and if you want some rock of any variety you have to look fairly hard for it. Whack9 would likely know more of them and might even like to attend.

But if you don't know the LindaLindas, I'd suggest you might try them. Local SoCal group of teeny-bop girls who definitely rock out.

I didn't know that Idris Elba is a rapper.

I did recognize a handful past the Bs, but not with the same frequency.

I don't listen to this song often. But when I do, so do my neighbors.
