Re: Baseball
Yankees Suck. Wow, they've really gone down the drain the last week or two.
I thought it would happen sooner, with all the injuries, but this is good too. Yes,
there is still a half season to go, but right now it's looking good. Sweet. And to
be fair and balanced, I can't stand the Red Sux either.

Okay, it's official, the sucking Yankees won't be in the playoffs.
Then Pettitte and Rivera lose their game, and Rivera goes out
a loser. Sweet.

Re: Baseball
I believe the Giants have been out for a while. The NL Central has
had it sewn up pretty well. I don't have any predictions, but my
favorites would be the Pirates or the Dodgers. I usually pull for
the NL.

Re: Baseball
I'm neutral on the cities themselves. I was a Dodger's fan way back when
Lasorda was the manager, and after that they dropped off my radar. I'd
like to see the Pirates win, but the Dodgers would be my second choice.

I'd like to see the Pirates beat the Cards, and I'd root for the Pirates to
beat the Dodgers, though if the Dodgers won, that would be all right too.
If the Cards win, I'm going with the Dodgers of course. I don't care too
much about the AL side, anyone but the Lead Sox.

Re: Baseball
Well at least they had a winning record and got into the playoffs for the
first time in twenty years. Arrrh. Well, I'll go halfway. I hope the Tigers
beat the Sox, but I'm going for the Dodgers all the way. Of course they
have to beat the Cards first. I'm mostly neutral if it ends up Tigers versus
Cards, though I'd likely go for the Cards only because they're an NL team.
We will see.

I still have a jacket somewhere in my closet that has Dodgers 1988 World
Champions (in relatively small letters) on it. Down 2-0. Ouch. Not impossible
to come back, but it won't be easy.

Re: Baseball
Sure isn't. Both teams down 3-2 and have to play the remaining game(s)
at their opponents' home fields. Yikes. It's not impossible, but it won't be
easy.

Re: Baseball
They sort of moved in tandem. I thought at least one of them might
have beat the odds. Even though the Cardinals beat the Dodgers,
I'll still go with them over the Sox. Never liked Boston all that much.
Should be a good match up.

That obstruction play was something else. I thought Pedroya was going to
launch himself into space after that call was made. The Cards really need
to find a way to keep a lead.

Re: Baseball
Maybe I should revise that to learn how to score more than one run per game.
Yep, things don't look too good for the Cards. Winning two at Fenway ain't
going to be easy. Oh well, I wanted the Pirates or Dodgers to win anyway.

One of those coincidences that pop up every once in a while. I was
watching other things, took a look around 10:30 or so and the Sox
were ahead 6-0. Forget this.

So - are we mad at the team for calling itself "Indians" or for the logo artist for creating a comic caricature, or because some Cleveland yahoo creates his own interpretation?
